I'm a big fan of cosmetic products and self-care for a long time. I'm convinced that competent and systematic home skin care is the foundation for maintaining skin beauty and health. Visits to a professional cosmetologist are certainly very important. But in my opinion everyday self-care that is the foundation of success.
Ever since care and makeup became a part of my life, I always carefully analyze product formulations, customer reviews and beauty experts' comments, and, of course, try products and evaluate the results on myself.
I decided to share with you a list of my favorite beauty products in care and decorative cosmetics, which, in my opinion, deserve attention and, indeed, will be an investment, not a waste. The result of my passion and love of "beautiful bottles" is this site, which I did with the great hope that it'll be a useful tool for each visitor. The guide will be updated as I find something worthy.
It's important to realize that I'm not a cosmetologist or makeup artist, and I'm not promoting products from cosmetic brands. I'm simply sharing my experience with you and I really hope you find it useful. Do not forget to take into account the specifics of your skin and consult with a cosmetologist, if necessary. I am absolutely convinced that cleansing is the most important stage of taking care of yourself and your skin, and it's the right way to preserve and prolong its beauty and health. Besides, quality cleansing is possible at home and doesn't require any extraordinary actions and costs (but it's not exact)), the main thing is the system.
In the evening it's especially important to wash off all the effects of the environment, cosmetics, cleanse the pores and prepare the skin for further stages of self care.

My evening:

with a cotton disk moistened with micellar water I wipe my entire face. If there is a persistent eye makeup - I use two-phase (I leave the cotton pad for a minute, while the cosmetics dissolve - do not rub the skin);
then - cleansing oil/cleansing balm, because only these products can fully dissolve grease, dirt, sunscreen and the most persistent makeup;
after I use a wash gel to remove any residual cleansing oil. In this way, the skin will be maximally cleansed of all excess and will be ready to absorb the beneficial substances that we'll give it the application of the next stages of care.

My morning:

I prefer to use an enzyme powder or foam for washing - it's necessary to wash off the remnants of night products and excess sebum.

This's the best two-phase eye makeup remover for removing long-lasting eye makeup for me. Remember: do not rub your eyes, but just put a cotton pad soaked in the liquid to the eye for a minute and wait for the cosmetics to dissolve, so as to avoid stretching the skin

The texture is gel-mousse. It cleanses the skin perfectly, but not to the point of squeaking. After washing my skin is silky and shiny. No feeling of tightness. I read a lot of reviews about unpleasant “technical” fragrance - I didn't notice such a thing. The only disadvantage for me is not the most convenient format of the packaging, but it is not so essential

Many people neglect the skin toning stage, but it is essential.
Toner completes the skin cleansing stage, stimulates skin renewal, soothes, softens, reduces inflammation. Toners/toners/mists can also have antiseptic properties, shrink pores, etc. You need to find a product that suits your specific needs. Toning eliminates the feeling of skin tightness after washing, and what is very important - normalizes the acid-alkaline balance.

Personally, at this stage of my life I prefer the mist format, and the less cotton pads in my life, the better, although I prefer to apply toners with my hands, plus - this way the product is used more economically. I like to use toners in the colder months, when I want something thicker).

A well-known peeling tonic with salicylic acid, which I decided to try just now) The manufacturer promises that after a week of use we will get a healthy glow of the skin and a noticeable reduction in inflammation. So, already after the first application I noticed a significant improvement in relation to the existing inflammation, also pores narrowed a bit, and the skin just looked beautiful, healthy and even.
I wouldn't recommend using the toner on a daily basis, mixing it with various other serious actives, especially for those with sensitive and reactive skin. Personally, I apply the product 2-3 times a week, covering it with a revitalizing serum and my favorite Cosmedix Harmonize Microbiome cream, which also helps to maintain a balanced skin microbiome and sufficiently moisturize the skin

Probably serums/serums/essences are my favorite product in skincare.
The use of different kinds of actives depends on the specific request: acne, pigmentation, dehydration, wrinkles, etc.
Serum is high concentration of active ingredients, light texture and multi-tasking.
And its value is immense. It should be applied on cleansed face skin and covered with cream (in some cases it is not necessary).

There are a huge variety of serums available. Depending on what tasks need to be solved, you can choose different types of face serum - moisturizing, rejuvenating, nourishing, brightening, etc. The only thing left to do is to define these tasks and choose what you need.

It's important not to forget:

some actives are not compatible with each other;
what is suitable only for the evening routine and what is suitable for the morning routine;
the neck and décolletage area also needs actives;
proceed from the skin type and choose the right concentration of actives;
separate acids, retinol and recovery. In this respect, I am very close to the skin-sculpting system. It is an evening care system based on a cyclical approach: 2 days of active ingredients are used, another 2 days of moisturizing and repairing, and then the cycle repeats. Depending on your personal needs, the number of days can vary

It's my favorite vitamin C in a stable form that I use daily in my morning routine. The brand has many variations on this theme - C-Tetra, C-Tetra Luxe, C-Tetra Intense, and they are all wonderful. Don't be intimidated by the oily texture, it is absorbed quickly, leaving only the glow of healthy skin. It is very convenient to massage this serum with a guasha scrubber. I keep coming back to it time after time

Retinol + Emulsion 0.3

I used retinal, bakuchiol, but after using retinol from Medik8, I was not in a hurry to go back to this active again, as the experience was not very pleasant. However, my cosmetologist recommended this retinol, and I cautiously, but still bought it) I have been using this product for 2.5 months now and I am extremely satisfied! I can't say what exactly has changed, but my skin is visibly transformed and I can really see the effect. I am very happy with the state of my skin at the moment - of course, it is all a complex care, but I am sure that retinol from iS Clinical played not the least role in this. I would like to note that it has a very comfortable formula that does not cause dryness and irritation and a pleasant creamy texture. The composition of the product is just excellent.
If you are in search of a cool retinol - I recommend you to pay attention to this one. It is suitable for beginners and owners of sensitive skin. It is desirable to discuss this issue with a cosmetologist before buying. It's important to remember that you should introduce retinol into your routine gradually, you need to remove conflicting assets from your care and in any case do not forget about the use of SPF

I read a lot of reviews that it is unpleasant, but for me it seemed absolutely comfortable. Well, finally, we have come to the final stage of our routine..)
I will say just a few words about it:
To "fix" and close all our assets - we need a cream. It reinforces the effect of essence/serum/serum and also has additional effects: moisturizes, nourishes, smoothes wrinkles, soothes irritated skin, reduces inflammation and does other amazing things). And don't forget the eye cream!

It helps to successfully combat the most common problems characteristic of the periorbital area: swelling, dark circles, reduces the severity of wrinkles and lines. I can say for myself that the cream provides long-lasting moisturization and makes the skin around the eyes tighter - which is exactly what I expect from such a product. The texture is very light and comfortable, the product is quickly absorbed

It's a very pleasant cream. The texture is thick but soft and silky. The product moisturizes, makes the skin tight and lightly illuminates. I don't have dark circles, but the manufacturer promises significant brightening, also a lot of positive reviews from other customers to this effect. Great packaging format. Makeup lays down well and doesn't roll off. I'm satisfied with the cream, I recommend it

Light cream for the eye area. Quickly absorbed without leaving a sticky feeling. Does not roll off or conflict with other products. Provides good long-lasting moisturization. Convenient dispenser.
The manufacturer promises too much, in my opinion, in the form of fighting wrinkles, swelling, dark circles, etc. I would not put such high hopes on this product)

I love masks! I try a lot of different ones, but the ones you'll see on the list have a definite place in my heart. I didn't include sheet face masks in my favorites, as I try a lot of them on a regular basis, and I can't say that any of them shocked me. Yes, instant results, especially with guasha, are assured, but nothing more.

I'm sure that additional care in the form of exfoliation (of course, moderate), masks (sheet, alginate, flushable, etc.) is a great way to spend your time and take care of your skin.

I consistently give myself a spa ritual once a week:

Sarah Chapman's Steamer (I'll talk about it further in the "gadgets" category);
a scrub or exfoliating scrub;
a cleansing mask (if we're talking about clay masks, it's important to remember to keep them on your face for no more than 7-10 minutes, avoiding complete drying, as clay dehydrates and tightens the skin. I usually spray thermal water on my face during the process);
revitalizing and moisturizing mask

Cosmedix Cranberry Exfoliating Mask PM

Cranberry exfoliating mask. Quite aggressive, so you should not keep it on your face for more than 10 minutes (5 minutes will be enough for the first time). But the effect is great - the skin is clean, smooth and radiant. Afterwards, you should definitely use something revitalizing. And let you not be frightened by the red face immediately after removing the mask, the redness quickly goes away

There is nothing to say here, except that this brand is a complete misunderstanding. Where the pricing comes from is the question. How can a product for 100 pounds be so mediocre...No tightening effect, no brightening, no glow, no even sufficient moisturizing of the facial skin - none of what the product promises. I haven't tried the other products, but for curiousity's sake I read the reviews - mostly nothing good. In general, it's a waste of money, I don't recommend it

Initially, this scalp esfoliant was in the block of favorites, as the effect from it is not bad. But the inconvenience of use overpowered: the exfoliating particles do not dissolve in the washing process, and it is incredibly problematic to wash them all out. My hair is very thick, and sometimes the granules stay that way until the next wash.
In my opinion, no effect justifies such a hassle. So I'll finish the existing tube and won't take it any more
